Corporate Events Welcomes the Latest Addition to the Team

Corporate Events is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Harrop as Business Development Manager. Ben joins the ever-expanding Swindon based company after one of its most successful years and will be developing a number of large accounts including BP.

After graduating from University with a BA (Hons) in Drama, Ben worked as a professional actor for five years, even managing to sing and juggle whilst on top of a human pyramid in front of 2000 people! If you can do that let’s face you can do more or less anything in life!

After 5 years of treading the boards, Ben decided a change of direction was needed and entered the equally creative arena of the Events Industry.

In his own words he says “I instantly fell in love with the creativity and passion of the events industry” and he has translated that enthusiasm to winning business from some of the largest blue chip corporates in the United Kingdom.

Over the past 10 years Ben has worked with a number of major accounts including BP, KPMG, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Reuters, RIM, and a host of innovative SME’s. He has also represented a number of top event venues including Madame Tussauds, The National History Museum, and No4 Hamilton Place to name a few.

Ben’s career thus far has led him to work with some of the best agencies and event management companies in the industry, which in turn has given him an extensive knowledge of the industry.

Corporate Events MD Andy Ashley says “Having Ben on board is a key part of our continued growth and development strategy and his experience and enthusiasm adds terrifically to our already strong business expansion team. The exciting thing for me is that he’s not just a sales guy – we’ve had those before but Ben’s a much more rounded and fully developed character who can stand on his own two feet and really will make a difference. He really fits the culture of our business”

The last words go to Ben, who is thrilled to be working for Corporate Events. “Working for a fantastic company with an ethos of providing excellence for our clients and building a long and lasting relationship moving forward is something that I’m very excited about – and want to share that excitement with others”.
